i have a huge crush on moose. i love how silent they are, how i'll be walking along a trail in the spruce bog deep in my own thoughts before being startled back to reality when i see a dark shape in my peripheral vision.
i love that lurch of fear in my stomach as i make sure i havent threatened the moose; that it's not coming toward me, or that i have a big enough tree to shield me if it is.
i love finding cover, waiting for the alarm to settle, looking for a sneaky way to inch closer.
i love creeping as close as both our nerves will allow.
